Summer is in full swing!!! A collective sigh comes from parents everywhere as they release their offspring out of the house and into the backyard lawn. Time for fresh air and good ol’ fashioned fun….

- DIY Backyard Summer Splash Park
On hot days, why venture to the crowded water parks when you can recreate it all at home. Simply, fire up the sprinklers, the super soakers and watch your wee ones shriek with laughter as they drench themselves and each other (okay, you might get in there too) for the good part of a day. Fun for all INCLUDING your lawn which simultaneously gets a good watering.
- Dandelion Duel
Weeding out Dandelions from your lawn can be a grueling job. But, if the soil is wet, the job is much easier. So, right after your stay-at-home water park has soaked the grass, challenge your kids to a “Who can Pick the Most?” game. Each dandelion gets a point, but get it by the root and that’s worth 5 points. The winner gets to decide where the family goes for a cool summer treat. Popsicle or ice cream anyone?
