Exploring Nature in the City at the BC Land Summit
Grass turf is one of those elements of urban design that literally gets overlooked sometimes because it is everywhere. Let desert spots in Las Vegas and Phoenix have their harsh rock gardens; here in the verdant Pacific Northwest, lush green grass lawns and fields are simple ways to instantly introduce a natural feel and vibrant color outside an award-winning home, or even a much larger urban development.
We salute the architects and other professionals at the BC Land Summit 2014 this week in Vancouver, who are exploring related themes like “Nature and Life in the City: Integrating Environment, Design and Lifestyles in Urban Areas” and “Parks in the City”. Bike lane controversies and Downtown Eastside conundrums aside, this city has largely achieved a lot of what other cities can only aspire to have: an authentic fusion of nature and metropolis.
We get what you’re trying to make: creative, inspiring, sustainable cityscapes that incorporate nature to balance out the brick, steel and concrete of the urban jungle – and we like helping to make it happen.
Over the past 20 years, we’ve been proud to supply landscapers working for top local architects, who have helped build out some of the most amazing residences, parks and scenic public spaces in Vancouver and beyond, as well as iconic sports venues like Nat Bailey Stadium. Think of our natural grass turf as the green, sustainable base for whatever your vision is meant to be.
If you’re a local landscaper, architect or other professional attending the BC Land Summit, feel free to get in touch with us for your next project!
